Jaypee Hotels launches its budget brand 'Jaypee Delcourt'

Jaypee Hotels recently launched Jaypee Delcourt as its budget brand with an unconventional approach. In an exclusive interaction with Express Hospitality, Tarandeep, head – Marketing & Communications of the group revealed that the budget brand has been soft launched, and would be fully operational by July-August this year.

She said, “In Jaypee Green integrated township of 450 acres in Greater Noida, there is a major emphasis on hospitality facilities, one of which will be Jaypee Delcourt. We are taking an unconventional route and providing facilities that are not common in budget properties.”

The Jaypee Delcourt offers facilities like a 24 hours restaurant 'Cafe Resto', Silver Bar, 'Wrap It Up' sandwich restaurant, 'Body n Bliss' spa, salon and wellness centre and a swimming pool to address the variety of needs of customers, which a budget hotel doesn't provide. “Conventionally, a budget hotel wouldn't offer so much of variety and offering. But we are going a step forward to not compromise on the service expectation that customers may have. The services may not be of premium value but they are definitely refined to match the brand image and offerings,” Tarandeep added.

The property has 27 rooms and 36 serviced apartments which overlooks the Greg Norman-designed 18 hole Championship Golf Course. It has two towers, ground plus four levels and two basement levels. Furthermore, a mall concept has been introduced where global lifestyle retail brands, flower shop, book and gifts shop, handicrafts, ATM, adequate basement parking will be present addressing a large number of residential guests - the service apartments would apart from the regular walk-ins in the vicinity.

The group sees immense opportunity in its first operational product in the budget segment. Tarandeep said, “The location has a catchment base of MNCs, corporates, education institutions, residences which makes Jaypee Delcourt a very attractive option to go for. In fact, our business solutions in terms of banquet space (Crystal and Opel rooms) offer the convenience of meetings and small conferences.”

The Jaypee Delcourt is being planned along the Jaypee's Yamuna Expressway highway project that will connect Greater Noida and Agra, and the project is expected to be completed by this year end. She remarked, “Jaypee Hotels plans to open its budget brand in Tier II and III cities along the upcoming Yamuna Expressway.

The serviced apartment element for the future would be based on feasibility of location and demand. But there is market scope for such a product in the smaller cities and there is a need for such infrastructure that Jaypee Delcourt is offering.

Meanwhile, Jaypee's Greater Noida township has also soft launched Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort, which is just 500 metres from Jaypee Delcourt and is expected to be operational by October when F1 event takes place at Formula 1 track that has been developed by the Jaypee Group. The resort spa will be having 170 keys in all in different categories.
