The Next level
Hospitality
World 2010 was the best gift Express Hospitality could give an industry that
witnessed a reasonably unfavourable and gloomy 2009. Feedback of this nature
keeps you on the right foot encouraging you to take the entire buyer seller
platform to a new level of excellence. It was interesting to pen down the buzz
in the midst of all the action, as every space within the mega pavilion of HospitalityWorld
was engrossed in reaping the maximum benefit under a brand and banner that promised
serious business and networking.
Apart from the main exhibition which saw over 200 participants, there were invigorating
seminars, sessions and competitions happening across the three-day event, from
January 21 - 23, 2010. From Hospitality Think Tank that witnessed participation
from leading hoteliers and investors, to the Great Indian Culinary Challenge
(GICC) which saw over 110 participants from across leading hotel brands, from
a dedicated Spa & Wellness 360° workshop and seminar to HospiTech, a
maiden initiative floated by Express Hospitality with an objective to provide
an interactive forum for IT professionals in the hospitality industry, there
was action and enthusiasm in every zone.
Express Hospitality has always been a thought leader and pioneer in providing
the professionals of the industry with a platform to express and showcase their
respective thoughts and talents. In its fourth edition, the GICC was a perfect
example of facilitating the intent to help showcase one's skills in culinary
art and science. On the other hand HospiTech, the IT professionals forum, though
on its maiden journey, was extremely interesting and thought provoking for participants,
and was well attended by IT professionals from a cross section of the hotel
industry. The Spa & Wellness 360° seminar dealt with points that are
a cause of concern for professionals associated with the spa business. The most
important issue discussed was spa accreditation and credibility, which is the
need of the hour. The zone that viewed maximum action was the GICC. The event
that spread across two days displayed some exotic creations from the chefs,
who were completely engrossed in creating the best food displays.
We at our end will continue to conduct thought provoking debates and discussions
for benefit of the industry. So keep reading this space to know where HospitalityWorld
will go Next
