Complementing business expansion
Expectations in these recessionary times is to have the best
software solution at an affordable price. S M Edward, MD of Winsar Infosoft,
is confident that the company's new offering will completely fit the bill. By

The
global phenomenon of economic slowdown did affect hospitality in India too but
not all hope is lost. According to S M Edward, MD of Winsar Infosoft, projects
that are at an advanced stage of completion are getting launched while others
might have got delayed up to this year-end.
In this given scenario, Winsar Infosoft which has over the decades invested
in various computer platforms, networks, operating systems and application software
implemented with little concern for interoperability is looking at the scenario
as an opportunity. At a time when cost structures are being re-defined everywhere,
IT products and services are beginning to play crucial roles. According to the
company, the current challenge in today's competitive global marketplace is
to determine the most efficient and cost-effective means of accessing, integrating
and distributing corporate information across the organisation. Edward says,
"The current expectation of the industry in these times of recession is
the expectation to have the best software solution at an affordable price. We
are constantly trying to develop our product i.e. WINHMS." The company
is experiencing healthy growth. Edward informs, "Our company turnover has
increased by 50 per cent during 2008-09 and expected to grow at 300 per cent
in 2009-10. This growth is expected due to our focus on Enterprise Level Solution,
which is not currently offered by any software company to the hospitality industry."
New product offerings
The company is continuously evolving its products. In fact, Edward says, WINHMS
has evolved as an ERP solution for the hospitality Industry. "Apart from
the total solution for the property level, we are now offering a complete suite
of products covering the Central CRM, Central MIS, IRS and CRS," says Edward.
These products cover all the properties for a group at the corporate level and
offer a powerful tool to control and monitor the performance of the properties
centrally. "Since many groups are entering the Indian market, this product
suite offers an excellent instrument for the expansion and management of new
additions," he adds.
For long, WINHMS' ERP product has been extensively promoted. According to the
company, WINHMS offers a unique ERP approach, which enables hotel groups to
re-engineer their entire operations at the property level as well as at the
group level. Edward says, "To manage the migration from the aged software
solution, Winsar Infosoft is offering a turn-key-basis solution starting from
re-engineering, migration from the old systems and standardising the operations
across the enterprise level." The advanced features introduced in WINHMS
is claimed to take care of all the current and future business expansion needs
of the industry and hence, act as a catalyst to the re-engineering process of
the group. He further adds, "We are now offering new products covering
the Spa Management, E-Concierge Management and Villa Owner Property Management
System to complement the new business expansion of the hospitality industry."
The growth of service products is equally matched by business reach. Winsar
Infosoft is now spreading its wings to untapped markets. "We plan to expand
ourselves in the eastern region of the country which is yet to be tapped,"
he says. Client profile for WINHMS includes The Orchid, Oakwood International
and Best Western Groups. The product is positioned as a total ERP solution at
the property level as well at the corporate level.
