GreenSpaces looks for hotel companies to manage acco facility, spa

First USGCB LEED-certified, Platinum-rated SEZ in the world to have heliport

CEO of Paharpur Business Centre, Software Technology Incubator Park (PBC-STIP)

GreenSpaces, the erstwhile Haryana Technology Park, spread across 1,60,000 square metres, is actively looking fto enter into partnership with hotel companies to manage the accommodation facility and spa that has been planned in the GOI-approved SEZ expected to be operational by May 2011.

This is the flagship project of Buildings & Appliances Task Force (BATF) for Policy & Implementation Committee (PIC) of Asia Pacific Partnership on clean development and climate. Talking about the project, Kamal Meattle, CEO of Paharpur Business Centre, Software Technology Incubator Park (PBC-STIP), said, "It will be viewed as a case study for the world's most energy-efficient commercial building with an investment of US$ 300 million. In this SEZ, we will have duty-free recreation centres, food courts, health club, gym and spa, overnight residential rooms, sick bay, meditation centre, travel agencies, banks, educational facilities, daycare centres and so on." PBC will own 51 per cent stake in the project with the remaining financing being accrued through foreign institutional funding and debt equity.

The SEZ will be the first one to be USGCB LEED-certified Platinum-rated project (apart from having TERI's Green 'Griha' building rating). This will be the first time when an existing building will be given this rating, Meattle said. GreenSpaces will be a health-oriented SEZ and will be managed by various companies with expertise in various domains. "We are in talks with certain hotel management companies to manage the residential accommodations having 100 rooms for business travellers. I don't refer to it as a hotel since the accommodation will be availed by people who are working within the SEZ. Also, we would like to have an operating company to manage the health club and spa," he said. PBC is also going to set up a helipad that will be used for charter services.

The Paharpur Business Centre
The Paharpur Business Centre or PBC claims to provide clean indoor air environment for the entire building, which encompasses various commercial offices. The Indoor Air Quality of PBC meets the specified ASHRAE (American Society for Heating Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Engineers) standards. A full-fledged Indoor Air Quality division equipped with a lab has been set up to continuously monitor and improve the indoor air quality.

PBC, as a one-stop shop, has also established itself as a modern-day hospitality concierge. It offers 26 consolidated services of different kinds, including CleanAir for HVAC solutions, CuisineArt for F&B, HappiGreens for horticulture needs, SpringClean for housekeeping and maintenance, ReLocate for realty needs where wide range of services are offered for real estate brokers, and TravelSpider Tours & Travels. "We recently withdrew our eCar (rent a cab) service as it was becoming unviable, but we would continue to put efforts in enlarging the business horizon of other services in Delhi NCR," informed Meattle.
