FHRAI transfers institute land to trust to get AICTE approval

EH Staff - New Delhi

The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India's (FHRAI) hospitality institute, FHRAI-IHM, has transferred its land, meant for the development of its institute, to the newly-formed trust within two months of formalising the seven-member body to run its hotel management institute.

According to a source, FHRAI will transfer the land on a short-term lease of 10 years. This is expected to solve procedural hindrances and ease the fiscal burden for the institute while acquiring the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approval for which FHRAI had to reportedly shell out Rs 1.72 crore.
