Microban protection by Victorinox

Makers of multi-purpose Swiss Army Knife have introduced knives with Microban antibacterial protection in the knives handles.

Microban has been designed to reduce the risk of infection transmitted through hand contact, therefore eliminating the reproduction of bacteria like Salmonella, Listeria, E-Coli, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus. The antibacterial protection is permanent since it is in-built in the products during the production process and will not wash or wear out. It is tested and certified by the Environmental Protection Agency, the Food and Drug Administration, the European Union Scientific Committee for Food, the Australian and New Zealand Food Authority.
The Microban antibacterial protection in the knives handles are best suited for it application in the hospitals, care units, food industry, domestic products, large working kitchens and its environment friendly and biologically degradable.

Nilarya Trading brings Belgian Beers

Known for its beer globally, Belgian beers now make an entry in India. Nilarya Trading have introduced 11 beers - 10 Belgium ales and one Dutch pilsner. These include:

Orval: Brewed by the trappist monks at their monastery near the border of Luxemburg and Belgium - this ale is outstanding in its complexity and flavour.

Chimay White Label: Brewed by the trappist monks of Chimay - this beer pours a cloudy orange with a lumpy head. The beer starts smooth with great aromas from the beer as you sip it and ends in a great dry finish.

Chimay Red Label: The second beer from Chimay - it pours with a dark copper colour. With a malty dry finish, it has a lively carbonation, with mildly sweet, black currant and nutmeg notes, and a touch of bitterness.

Chimay Blue Label: The Chimay Blue is a true Belgian dark beer. It pours dark brown with incredibly rich tapestry of flavours of roast malt, nuts, a small bit of sweetness and cinnamon. The finish is dry and yeasty.

St Bernardus Triple: The St Bernardus triple pours a beautiful light orange and has flavours of fruit, malt, just a small tinge of bitterness and complex flavours.

Arabier: Brewed by the De Dolle brewery, Arabier pours deep orange with a large head. The hops grown in the nearby Poperinge region are used in this beer.

Achel Brune: An amber beer brewed by the trappist monks at the Achel brewery near the Dutch border. It is not a heavy beer but has some sweetness, and a bit yeasty.

Achel Blond: The flavour starts sweet caramel, going into a complex explosion of flavours before the yeast becomes apparent. The finish however has some bitterness.

St Feuillien Triple: St Feuillien pours a cloudy blond with initial floral flavours, leading to a tinge of sweetness, then some complex but light yeasty flavours clearly due to the secondary fermentation in the bottle.

Kapittel Pater: Dark Brown in colour with a nice light-tan head. The aroma is sweet, yeasty, a bit of caramel, hints of candied orange and subtle bitter twist at the finish to round out the sweet main body of the flavour.
Christoffel Bier: The only pilsner and the only beer from it pours a murky blond. The hop-flavour and its fresh taste makes this pilsner rated as one of the best in the world.
