Leela Kempinski Mumbai among top 6 hotels in India:Travelocity

Travelocity ranked The Leela, Kempinski Mumbai among the top six best performing hotels for the quarter ending 2007. The hotel was chosen among 500 hotels countrywide. Indrajeet Banerjee, director (Sales & Marketing), The Leela, Kempinski Mumbai, said, "Our heartfelt thanks is in order to all who have acknowledged our efforts and above all to my team for their drive and unstinting efforts in achieving this enviable position."

Commenting on the award, Jeffrey Sussman, the hotel's GM, says "We believe in excellence and continuously strive to better our product and service for the global traveller. The hotel has recently undergone a phased refurbishment program, and we are glad that our guests' have appreciated our efforts."

Established in 1986, The Leela, Kempinski Mumbai is close to the international airport. It has 390 rooms and suites, with a special business floor, spa and health club and dining options. Hotel Leelaventure owns and operates The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts in Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa and in Kovalam (Kerala) and has new developments in Gurgaon (opens October 2008) and Udaipur (opens January 2009), Chennai (opens 2009), New Delhi (opens 2010), Hyderabad and Pune (opens 2011), and associated with Kempinski Hotels.
