Hotel Fortune Park, Panchwati

Fortune Park Hotels, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ITC has opened its 23rd property, Hotel Fortune Park, Panchwati. Located just five kms away from the Toll Plaza at Howrah, the hotel has been designed in colonial style architecture with the interiors matching the Fortune style décor of uncluttered modernity, suitable to both business and leisure travellers.

The hotel has 71 rooms that include 35 standard rooms, 11 executive suites, 23 Fortune Club rooms and two Fortune Suites. All suites are fitted with partial wooden parquet and partial carpeting, as well as king size double beds, desks and separate sitting areas, equipped with wi-fi connectivity. In addition, the hotel includes a 24-hour restaurant offering world cuisine, an extensive bar, as well as a chai bar. In addition, the hotel also features a 6000 sq ft banquet hall and a well-equipped business centre for conferences.

Leisure facilities offered by the hotel include a swimming pool, tennis court, billiards and cards room, as well as the Lakeland Country Club.

Aditya Hometel, Hyderabad

Sarovar Hotels & Resorts has launched Aditya Hometel, an economy segment hotel in Hyderabad. The hotel is ideally located in the IT hub of Ameerpet, which is also the business district of the twin cities. The area is noted for its educational centres and is at a convenient distance from major city landmarks. It is approximately three kms from the airport and seven kms from the railway station, with easy access to the Hi-Tech City and Hitex.

Blending contemporary design with bright interiors, Aditya Hometel has 92 rooms, each offering a variety of amenities that include comfortable beds with duvets, tea and coffee makers, mini bars, safe deposit lockers, writing desks, LCD televisions and broadband as well as wi-fi connectivity. Multiple dining options are available at the hotel's multi-cuisine restaurant. Conferencing facilities include two meeting rooms and a business centre. In addition, the hotel also offers laundry and valet service, foreign exchange and it has a travel desk.

Jasmine Moon, Mumbai

Jasmine Moon, a restaurant offering new concepts in Chinese cuisine has opened in the fashionable Mumbai district of Colaba. With creative interiors, rich ambience and value-for-money offerings, the 35-seater restaurant offers gourmet Chinese dishes prepared by one of the leading Chinese chefs in the region. The restaurant also offers combo meals for executives, and has catering and party facilities.

Lawry's The Prime Rib, Shanghai

Lawry's The Prime Rib, a traditional American prime-rib restaurant known for its tableside carvery service of classic prime ribs of beef, has opened its first restaurant in mainland China in Shanghai's popular Xintiandi entertainment district. This is the brand's fifth restaurant in Asia, and the ninth in the world.

The restaurant has been opened in partnership with m.a.x. concepts, the contemporary restaurant division of Hong Kong Maxim's group, one of Hong Kong's largest restaurant operators. This is the first international prime-rib restaurant brand to arrive in mainland China.

Handelshof Restaurant, Germany

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has opened Handelshof restaurant on the first floor of the Mövenpick Hotel Essen. Formerly called Au Premier, the newly-renovated restaurant combines warm interiors and modern design with bright colors. The restaurant offers an elaborate breakfast buffet, business lunches with a three-course menu and dinner options ranging from traditional Swiss dishes to regional and international creations. Apart from this, the restaurant also offers a wide selection of in-house cakes and bakery delights. There is also a 'late-riser breakfast' that is served on weekends along with regional and international dishes that are changed on a regular basis.

Mövenpick Resort El Sokhna, Egypt

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement for a five-star holiday resort in El Sokhna scheduled to be opened in June 2008. The Mövenpick Resort El Sokhna is an integral part of the 62-acre El Ein resort village, directly on the shores of the Red Sea with its own private beach.

The hotel has 162 rooms and suites, each offering a sea view and all built in contemporary design. In addition it also offers a wide range of sporting activities, a health club and a variety of boutiques (including a Gourmet Shop) with a comprehensive range of leisure and entertainment facilities. The hotel also has spacious swimming pools, and a number of lounges and restaurants, offering a wide variety of dining options. Conference and banquet facilities, as well as outdoor gatherings are also well-provided for.

Quality Hotel Wellington, New Zealand

The boutique city of Wellington, New Zealand, now has a new four star property, the centrally-located Quality Hotel Wellington which opened recently to help meet soaring demand for business and leisure accommodation.
The 62-room property, in lively Cuba Street, is part of the Choice Hotels chain, and conveniently positioned alongside her sister property, the114-room Comfort Hotel Wellington. It features conference facilities for up to 220 guests.
