MCI to expand operations in India

After opening its first office in India in Mumbai last October, communication, association and event management company MCI is looking at expanding its activities here. In an exclusive interview with Express Hospitality, Roger Tondeur, its president, says, "MICE infrastructure will be developed in India over the next few years. Many of our global clients too are interested in expanding their activities in India. We have therefore decided to expand our operations aggressively in the Indian market bringing our global knowledge and client relationships."

The group, according to Tondeur, has already signed two contracts for association consulting and a large corporate event. Founded in 1987, MCI forayed into Asia in 2005, when it opened its first office in Singapore. It has since opened offices in Dubai, Shanghai, Abu Dhabi and Mumbai.
