Sayoni Bhaduri - Mumbai

Stephane Barlerin, Export manager for Chapoutier vineyard

Finewinesnmore has tied up with the renowned French winery, Chapoutier. Speaking to Express Hospitality about his expections from the Indian wine market, Stephane Barlerin, export manager for Chapoutier vineyard said, "We would like to forward our passion for the wine, the terroir and the biodynamics to India and its people."

Aiming to target an audience who care to taste the difference between a Shiraz from the Rhone valley and a Shiraz from any other region in the world, Chapoutier will make its presence felt in hotels and fine dinning restaurants. They also intend to spend time on wine education and will host food and wine promotions to highlight the quality and terrior character of the wines. "We will focus on various POS material and training sessions across the key markets in India for better understanding of our wines," said Barlerin.

Chapoutier is known for its quality wines from the Rhone valley. Barlerin informed that they will be introducing nine of their labels in India, including Croze Hermitage - les Meysonniers, Hermitage - Sizeranne, Coteaux de l ardeche - Grange de Mirabelle, Coteaux du tricastin - La ciboise, Chateauneuf du pape - La Bernardine, Cote du Rhone - Belleruche, and Cote du Roussillon - Bila Haut. Discussing plans to enter retail, Barlerin said, "We have also identified two labels that we aim to promote in the retail segment."
