K Mohan Krishna has been promoted to the post of vice president - operations of Green Park group of hotels (Diana Hotels). Prior to this appointment, he was the general manager - operations, having been with the group since 1992
Accor, Asia Pacific
Accor has appointed Michael Issenberg as chairman and COO of Accor Asia Pacific and as a member of Accor Executive Committee.

A graduate of Cornell University, New York, Issenberg joined Accor Asia Pacific in 1994 as a regional general manager, before being promoted to CEO of Accor's hotels and tourism operations in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific in 1995

After more than 15 years with Accor, David Baffsky has stepped down from an active executive chairman role and will now act as honorary chairman of Accor Asia Pacific. In his new capacity, Baffsky will assist Issenberg with key investor and government relationships, and will continue his involvement in the company's major initiatives, including indigenous and environmental sustainability issues

Carlson Hotels Worldwide
Carlson Hotels Worldwide has appointed Bjorn Gullaksen as president of the Regent Luxury group. Gullaksen, who is currently serving as executive vice president of managed hotels and resorts for Carlson Hotels Worldwide - The Americas, will continue to oversee those operations in addition to taking on leadership responsibilities for the global Re#FCF3F9gent brand. With more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, he has previously served as the company's executive vice president of Full Service Hotels, including Radisson Hotels & Resorts and Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts
Le Royal Meridien, Chennai
Karan Singh Bhati has been appointed director of sales at Le Royal Meridien, Chennai. This comes post his relocating from Le Meridien Resorts and Convention, Kochi. Bhati has 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having started his career with the Oberoi's group of hotels and then going on to work with ACCOR groups of hotels - France and HRH group of Rajasthan
Pooja Mehna has been appointed as PR executive. A post graduate and army wife, she has excellent presentation, communication and organisational skills, gathered over eight years of managing and organising large scale events in the army
One&Only Le Saint Geran, Hong Kong
One&Only Le Saint Géran has appointed Dr Chase Webber as its new resident wellness specialist. A South African national, Dr Webber is qualified in naturopathic medicine which covers a broad range of health and fitness disciplines. He comes with many years of experience having previously held lecturing posts in both South Africa and the UK
The One&Only Reethi Rah, Maldives
The One&Only Reethi Rah has appointed Zannie Leong as its new public relations manager. In her capacity, Zannie will continue to build brand awareness for the resort and the One&Only brand, generate publicity in the growing markets and execute the media plan's objectives.

Zannie started her career as a management trainee in the Rooms Division at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore in 2002.

Prior to this appointment, Zannie was the marketing communications and public relations manager of the InterContinental Singapore. She has also worked at the Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore

Hilton Shanghai
Hilton Hotels has appointed Guy Hutchinson as general manager of Hilton Shanghai, effective March 22.

A seasoned industry professional, Hutchinson joined Hilton Hotels in 1997 and is currently the general manager of Hilton Carins, Australia, where he has been stationed since 2005. During this time, he has steered the hotel through a shift to online booking channels and has seen the property emerge as a market leader amongst the city's five star hotels

HPL Hotels & Resorts
HPL Hotels & Resorts has appointed hospitality veteran Gregory J Lee as its new vice president of operations to be based at its corporate office in Singapore.

An Australian citizen, Gregory has more than 26 years of industry experience backed by a distinguished career that spanning various countries, including Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Malaysia and Thailand.

Gregory will oversee hotel operational responsibilities for the company's current portfolio of 10 properties located in the Asia Pacific Region

Marco Polo Hotels, Beijing
Marco Polo Hotels has appointed Shawn Wang as regional director of sales, based in Beijing. In his new position, he will be responsible for all sales and account management of the corporate, travel agent, airlines and government accounts in the region.

A Chinese national, Wang began his career in the hospitality industry with Marco Polo Xidan, Beijing as sales assistant manager (leisure) and moved on to work for the representative office of Wynn Macau in Beijing. Prior to rejoining Marco Polo Hotels, he was senior business development manager of Hotel Lisboa Macau Beijing representative office

Corinthia Hotels International
Malta based Corinthia Hotels International has appointed Morten Ebbesen as the new general manager of the Corinthia Beach Resort in Malta, comprising the five-star Corinthia Hotel St George's Bay and the adjoining Marina Hotel.

Ebbesen has a wealth of experience, having held general manager positions at the five-star Pestana Grand Hotel Madeira, and the Millennium Mayfair and Sheraton Park Tower hotels in London. While at the Millennium Mayfair, he was instrumental in developing the celebrity chef restaurant 'Turners of Mayfair'

Omni Hotels
Tom Walker has been appointed vice president of revenue management for Omni Hotels. In his capacity, he will head the revenue management team to analyse data trends to better Omni's performance in the luxury marketplace.

Prior to this appointment, Walker served as executive vice president of The Rainmaker Group, Omni's partner in CRM management systems, where his focus was on revenue management strategies, processes and tools across various hospitality environments.

Walker is armed with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English as well as an MBA degree from UCLA, and has completed two years of graduate study in speech communications from the University of Utah

Astudo Hotel & Resort Management
Astudo Hotel & Resort Management has appointed Martin Fabiano as resort manager of the X2 Kui Buri and Le Bayburi De Pran.

A Canadian national, Fabiano has extensive experience, having worked in key positions for several leading hotel chains. His previous appointments include postions at Rome Marriott Park Hotel, Hilton International Hotel Canada, Four Seasons Hotel Milan and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Philippinnes

Stefan Truebner has been appointed resort manager of the Away Resort Koh Kood.

In his capacity, Truebner will oversee the entire operation of the resort, including food and beverage, rooms operations, engineering, human resources and spa.

Armed with a diploma in Hotel Management from the AHK Hotel Management School in Portimao, Portugal, Truebner has been working in key positions for several leading hotels such as Sheraton Sanaa Hotel in Yemen and Novotel Beach Resort Panwa in Phuket. Prior to this appointment, he worked as resort manager at Gajapuri Resort & Spa

Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre
Adam Mather-Brown has been promoted to the post of deputy general manager of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from his previous position as director of operations.

With wide experience in exhibition and facilities management, Mather-Brown also has in-depth knowledge of audio-visual, information technology (IT) and general logistics in the conventions arena.

As part of his new role, he will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the centre and maximising the existing resources of the audio-visual/technical services, catering, event co-ordination and exhibition services

Singapore Exhibition Services
Singapore Exhibition Services (SES) has appointed Lindy Wee as director of PR & Conferences. In her capacity, she will be in charge of public relations and conference-related aspects of SES events.

Wee was elected 2nd vice-chairman -Asia/Pacific Regional Chapter of UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) in 2004 and also served as vice-president (Exhibitions) of the Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (SACEOS), a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the growth of the exhibition and convention industry in Singapore

The Lexington Collection, Texas
Robert Payne has been appointed director of development for Texas of The Lexington Collection of hotels, plaza hotels, and resorts. Payne will assume his new position immediately and will be based out of Plano, Texas
Preferred Hotel group, Asia Pacific
Preferred Hotel Group has enhanced its presence in the Asia Pacific Region with an expanded management team of seasoned executives.

Lynne Ireland has been appointed managing director of Preferred Boutique and area managing director - South Pacific. Ireland's career includes more than 15 years of heading the Asia Pacific region for Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Mark Simmons has been appointed area managing director - Asia. Preferred Hotel Group veteran Ananya Narayan, who recently relocated to Dubai, has been promoted to senior vice president, global strategy and will also serve as area managing director for India, the Middle East and Africa. Narayan's new role will test his talents in the area of strategic planning. In addition, he will serve as area managing director for India, Middle East and Africa, facilitating growth and increasing brand visibility

Dawnay, Day Hotels, India
Mohammed Faisal Siddiqui has been appointed as senior manager - engineering services. As part of the technical team, he will be responsible for all engineering services related to the hotel projects. Siddiqui has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and has worked on both multi - use projects as well as specific hospitality related assignments

Rahul Berry has been appointed as project controller and will be the key coordinator between the finance and project teams at the corporate office, as well as the hotel sites.

After completing his diploma in Hotel Finance and Accounting Management from Cornell University, USA, he moved back to India and has worked with a number of leading hospitality majors there since

Surjit S Kamboj has been appointed as general manager - laision and will be based at the corporate headquarters at Gurgaon.

Kamboj is armed with a Bachelor in Arts degree from Delhi University, and also holds a diploma in UN Studies & International Relations.

He brings with him rich experience, having had a long stint with the Taj group

Rajeev Chowdhry has been appointed as chief culinary officer. As part of his role, he will spearhead the F& B conceptualisation and standard product offering as also the culinary experience for all Dawnay, Day Hotels.

After completing his diploma from the IHM, Pusa, New Delhi, Rajeev graduated from the Oberoi School of Management and then worked with the Oberoi group for over 15 years in senior management positions

Anuj Jain has been appointed as manager - finance, reporting to the chief financial officer. As part of his appointment, Jain will be primarily working on financial planning and analysis for the group. After completing his B Com with Honours, he went on to become a qualified chartered accountant from ICAI
