Leela Goa comes under Kempinski flag

Post termination of the management contract between Hotel Leelaventure and General Hotel Management for operation of The Leela, Goa, the 185 room and suite resort, which is now under sole management of Hotel Leelaventure, has announced a new marketing franchise agreement with Kempinski Hotels and Resorts. The hotel will thus be under the name of The Leela, Kempinski, Goa, effective March. Commenting on the alliance, vice chairman and managing director, Vivek Nair remarked, "In view of the forthcoming openings of our new properties in Gurgaon Delhi (NCR) and Udaipur, and further expansion plans of The Leela in the next few years, we have decided to regroup all our properties under one marketing alliance with Kempinski."

Hotel Leelaventure has new developments in Gurgaon Delhi - NCR (to open in October 2008), Udaipur (to open in January 2009), Chennai (to open in 2009), New Delhi (to open in 2010), Hyderabad and Pune (to open in 2011), all of which will be associated with Kempinski Hotels.
