Fortune Select Exotica, Navi Mumbai

Fortune Park Hotels, a subsidiary of ITC, has opened Fortune Select Exotica at Navi Mumbai. The hotel is located adjacent to Palm Beach Galleria Mall on Palm Beach Road in Vashi.

Offering contemporary architecture and interiors, the 85 room property, includes 50 standard rooms, 19 Fortune Club rooms, eight Fortune Club Exotica rooms and eight suites. All rooms are fitted with Wi-Fi connectivity and an exclusive Fortune Club Lounge is soon expected to be added to the hotel's list of guest facilities. Such facilities include board rooms, a business centre and a large banquet hall.

As far as dining options are concerned, the hotel has a multi-cuisine restaurant as well as a buffet counter offering a wide selection of Indian, Continental, Chinese and regional specialities.

Royal Palms, Mumbai

Royal Palms Estate has opened Palms Hotel, a business luxury villa hotel in Goregaon, Mumbai. Yummy Tummy - a new multi-cuisine food court has opened at Magarpatta City, Pune. Serving breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner, the court is spread over an area of 26,000 sq ft, with seating capacity of 1,200 pax. It has multi-seating indoor and outdoor facility with open decks as well as party areas for corporate get-togethers as well as families.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened Fairmont Towers, Heliopolis, the first Fairmont property in Cairo and the fifth in the Middle East and Africa. Park Plaza, Shanghai

Carlson Hotels Worldwide - Asia Pacific has announced plans to open its first Park Plaza hotel in Shanghai in June 2009. The hotel is one of six hotels currently under development by Carlson as part of its continuing expansion across China, where it plans to double its presence in the coming years.

Located on Hong Qiao Road at the entrance to the Hong Qiao airport, the hotel is in close proximity to the greater Hong Qiao area - a well-developed commercial and office hub - as well as the Shanghai Zoo and the planned station for the Maglev train to Hangzhou.

The 313-room hotel will feature an executive lounge on the 12th floor along with a business centre, 450 square metre ballroom, meeting facilities and 96 parking bays. There will be a fitness centre, spa, lobby bar and lounge as well.
