Neeta to add seven properties, take total to 13

Chetan Kapoor - Mumbai

Neeta Travels, a Volvo bus service provider in Maharashtra is in the process of expanding its hospitality business by adding seven more budget properties across the state to its existing portfolio under the Neeta brand name. Speaking exclusively to Express Hospitality, Sunil Savla, owner, Neeta Travels said, "Surface transportation and hospitality are connected businesses. In accordance to that, we are adding seven more properties to the existing six over the course of the year." Accordingly, it plans to add three properties in Shirdi, one in Mahabaleshwar, one in Goa and two restaurants in Mumbai to its portfolio.

At present, Neeta owns six properties - two in Mahabaleshwar, one in Lonavala, three in Shirdi, one restaurant on the Mumbai-Pune Express highway and a waterpark on the Mumbai-Nasik highway. "We would be adding close to 300 rooms with the addition of these new two-three star properties, which is the need of the hour as all hotels are constantly running full," Savla added. Furthermore, it will package the properties with its bus services so as to provide a complete experience - transport, sightseeing, lodging and boarding.

In 2010, it will also add a property in Borivali, a suburb in Mumbai and another one in 2011 in Panvel keeping the upcoming Navi Mumbai international airport in mind.
