Magarpatta City township is to open 130 suite serviced apartments by May this
year. The self-managed property has been built with an investment of Rs 90 crore
informed Yogesh Magar, director of Magarpatta Clubs & Resorts. Of other
hospitality plans, Magar informed that they will be developing a multiplex on
an area of 10 lakh square feet that is scheduled to come up in the next two
years.
Magarpatta Clubs & Resorts is also in talks with various hotel chains for
the management of a four-star property scheduled to open within the township.
There are also plans to develop budget hotels in and around the area of Magarpatta
City, said Magar. However, the projects are still in the planning stage.
The hospitality plan of the company also includes F&B outlets like restaurants,
food courts as well as catering services. The group recently launched Yummy
Tummy, a self-managed food court in the area near Megacity in Magarpatta city.
This is the first of the four food courts that the group is planning in the
township. The other three food courts are to come up in another six to eight
months. Magar said, "We may look at subletting spaces to popular brands,
for the other food courts." In F&B services, the group also provides
catering services to the companies in the Megacity, known as the Mega Meals.
The group already has a fine-dining restaurant Deccan Harvest. Magar elaborated,
"We have a kitchen facility of 1500 square feet and presently are able
to produce meals for 5,500 people daily.
Magarpatta Clubs & Resorts is part of the Magarpatta Township Development
and Construction. The group is responsible for building the Magarpatta City
township off the Solapur Road in Pune and is also looking at developing similar
townships in other parts of the country.
