Ecolé
Hòtelière de Lausanne (EHL) is promoting its Lausanne Executive
Education (LEE) Programmes 2008 for corporate executives in the hospitality
industry currently working in general management position or above with the
theme 'Strategic Trends & Developments'.
Giving details about the programme, Georgette Davey, consultant with Lausanne
Hospitality Consulting, EHL, informed, "LEE Programmes are promoted globally
via our website and through a range of hospitality publications in Europe and
worldwide. EHL has both winter and summer programmes. The former will have eight
modules in four streams and the latter with 30 modules in five streams, including
a new stream on strategy."
LEE has launched the winter programme this year. "It will follow a similar
format as our Summer Executive Education three-day module in different disciplines
like Operations, Finance, Leadership & Management and Marketing," informed
Davey. According to her, these modules provide opportunities for corporate management
level staff in hospitality to update and enhance their knowledge through topics
specific to their needs. It will also enable them to go back to the classroom
to learn and identify the way trends originate. The Corporate Management Programme
is a five-day programme targeting executives who are currently working in general
management positions or above. There are five disciplines including strategy,
finance, marketing and human resource delivered in a focused manner. Participants
who attend 20 days of executive education through EHL within three consecutive
years qualify for a Proficiency in Hospitality Management Certificate.
Ecolé Hòtelière de Lausanne (EHL) has a tie-up with the
FHRAI Institute of Hospitality Management in India for the undergraduate programme.
Talking about how the FHRAI members can be benefited, she informed, "We
provide an opportunity for Indian executives to come to Lausanne and FHRAI members
are offered a discount on tuition. We also work with major Indian hotel companies."
