Ramee group to build seven hotels in India in the next four years

Dinkar Farwaha - Mumbai

With its recent acquisitions in Pune and Mumbai, Dubai-based Ramee group of hotels has kickstarted development plans for its four-star brand of hotels 'Ramee Guestline'. While the land in Mumbai has been acquired in Khar, the one in Pune is in the Gymkhana area.

"We have identified India as one of our high priority markets and are therefore eyeing major expansion in the country," said Teekendra Sisodia, general manager, Ramee Guestline, Dadar. After Mumbai and Pune, the group is now eyeing acquisitions in Jaipur, Goa, Agra, Delhi, Hyderabad Ahmedabad and Chennai. Ramee group, which currently owns hotels in Mumbai, Bangalore and Tirupati, plans to take the figure up from five to 12 within the next four years.
