Orchid to launch luxury brand O-Hotels
With an eye on the luxury market, The Orchid Group of Hotels is set to launch
a luxury hotel brand O-hotels, with the first property set to come up in Pune.
The company also has its sights on an IPO, to be raised in 2009. The group CEO
Pushpinder Kumar has said that there is huge potential in this segment. The
group already has a presence in five-star business hotel brand, heritage brand
and service apartments. With a turnover of Rs 500 crore, with the IPO, the company
expects to hit the Rs 1,000 crore mark by 2010 .
The hotel management company is operating 5-star brand-Orchid, 4-star brand-Rhodas,
heritage hotels-Garh and service apartments. The Orchid brand is targeted at
the metros which include Bangalore, Jaipur, Hyderbad, Kolkata among others.
