IRB Infrastructure Developers to enter capital markets,
files DRHP with SEBI
IRB Infrastructure Developers, an infrastructure development and construction
company in India with significant experience in the roads and highways sector,
proposes to enter the capital markets with a public issue of 51,057,666 equity
shares of Rs 10 each through a 100 per cent book building process. It has filed
its DRHP for this purpose with SEBI as of September 28, 2007. Deutsche Equities
India is the sole global coordinator and BRLM for the issue along with Kotak
Mahindra Capital Company, which is the co-BRLM for the issue. IRB Infrastructure
Developers is the holding company of the IRB Group, formed to fund the capital
requirement of the IRB Group's initiatives in the infrastructure and construction
sectors.
Pride group sells 11% stake to Kotak Real Estate Fund
Pride Hotel group, which owns four five-star hotels in the country, has sold
a 11 per cent stake to Kotak India Real Estate Fund, at Rs 45 crore, as part
of its expansion plans in the capital market.
Its three existing properties in Pune, Ahmedabad and Nagpur, will see addition
of room inventory, and expansion to the tune of Rs 350 crore. The management
envisages an overall inventory of 1,150 hotel rooms in key cities by December
2009. The equity investment from Kotak will be used to finance these activities
in the coming years. The group will also be raising a Rs 50 crore debt and may
go for an IPO perhaps by the end of this financial year. In addition, Pride
plans to set up new five-star hotels in Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore and Hyderabad
and a resort hotel-cum-spa at Alibaug.
HIHT, Agra collaborates with Canadian Algonquin College
for new courses
Heritage Institute of Hotel and Tourism (HIHT), Agra has collaborated Algonquin
College, Canada, a government aided provincial institution which offers over
130 programs that are accredited by the ministry of training and education.
On the occasion, a seminar was organised for the students, where the focus was
on the required knowledge, skills, aptitude and hunger to acquire and succeed
in the hospitality industry. The speakers included Col K S Gujral, country coordinator,
Algonquin College and Prateek, advisor (hospitality education), Orion School
of Hotels, Australia group president P K Rawat. They addressed the students
discussing the worldwide scenario of hospitality education.
Diva Maharashtracha is world's first Marathi cuisine restaurant
to be ISO certified
Receiving the ISO-9001-2000 certificate from Moody International- an ISO certification
company, chef and CEO of Diva Maharashtracha, Deepa Awchat, expressed gratitude
that her research of three years about Maharashtrian cuisine has finally earned
the restaurant brownie points.
With this certification, the eatery, has become the world's first restaurant
specialising in Marathi cuisine to get the ISO mark.
Indian Housekeepers Clubs correspondence course in
Housekeeping Management
The Indian Housekeepers Club will soon commence a correspondence course in Housekeeping
Management for those employees working in the hospitality industry.
The one-year course syllabus is the equivalent of the FCI course conducted by
Government of India.
