Orange County to expand in Karnataka, Kerala

Orange
County Resorts and Hotels, a part of the Ramapuram group announced the opening
of their latest resort, Orange County, Kabini in Mysore district of Karnataka.
Spread across 20 acres of land, the resort is built on the banks of the river
Kabini and has been designed to replicate a traditional village. Built with
an investment of Rs 20 crores, the project was completed in 16 months. According
to Jose T Ramapuram, director - marketing, Orange County, the resort will offer
26 jacuzzi huts and eight pool huts. The group has also released an advertisement
campaign corresponding with the opening of Orange County, Kabini.
The group has also announced its plans of setting up more resorts in Karnataka
and Kerala. According to Abe T Ramapuram, vice chairman, Orange County Resorts
and Hotels, the group also plans to set up resorts at Hampi, Karwar and Bangalore
in Karnataka at an investment of around 200 crores. "We are looking at
a timeframe of around two years. We plan to build the resort at Hampi on 27
acres of land and at Karwar on 45 acres of land," Ramapuram said. In continuance
with the theme-based designs of all their projects, Ramapram added that the
resort at Hampi will be designed based on the Vijaynagar theme, and the resort
at Karwar might be given a fishing village look. The projects at Hampi and Karwar
will be built at an investment of Rs 100 crores each, while the project at Bangalore
will be at an investment of Rs 30 crore. The company also has plans of going
for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the next two years time to finance part
of the projects.
