New kids on the block

Rasoi by Vineet, One&Only Le Saint Geran, Mauritius

One&Only Le Saint Géran, Mauritius, is set to open Rasoi by Vineet in October. The restaurant will feature multi award-winning contemporary Indian cuisine of Chef Vineet Bhatia, whose Michelin-starred Chelsea restaurant was named 'Indian Restaurant of the Year' just a year after it opened.

The tropical waterside 120-cover restaurant will enjoy a magnificent natural setting, with views of the sugarcane-clad mountains and the private lagoon. The ambience will be set with the atmospheric overhead tropical fans, music, the live 'floor show' of chefs in the kitchen, to the aromas of cooking from the wood-fired oven.

Evason Hideaway, Yao Noi

Six Senses, Bangkok launches Evason Hideaway at Yao Noi in October. This property is located by the outcrops of Phang Nga Bay and is easily accessible by a 40-minute power boat trip from Phuket, or 10 minutes from Phuket international airport in the resort's own helicopter. Set in tropical landscapes, the property has 56 villas in three styles, including three-bedroom, Reserve and two-bedroom Retreat. Several villas offer personal spa suites, and all are served by pool villa butlers. The design and material selection is based on attention to detail and ecological commitment, creating innovative experiences in a sustainable environment.

The food offered is inspired by world cuisine with tandoori and wood-fired ovens and an open grill, together with Mediterranean dishes and an authentic taste of Thailand - complete with noodle bar. There's a dramatic glassed-in duplex wine cellar, a chef's table and a close-at-hand organic vegetable garden for the freshest salads.

Banyan Tree, Bodrum

Banyan Tree Holdings has signed a management contract for a property in Bodrum, Turkey developed by Osmanli Yapi Insaat Turizm Sanayi ve, a subsidiary of London based Ottoman Fund. The 18.5 hectare property will have an all-pool villa resort and branded residences with views to the Aegan Sea. The site is 45-minute drive from the Milas-Bodrum International Airport. The hotel is set to be the first all-pool villa resort of Turkey.

Amari Orchid Resort & Tower, Pattaya

Amari Orchid Resort & Tower is launching five-star Ocean Tower to its Resort at Pattaya in November, 2007. The towers will provide guests a new era of accommodation and service. There are also promotional weekend and family packages plus a range of spa and dining privileges for the to-be-opened hotel.
