Index International Furniture Fair comes to India

Seminar on hospitality & retail to be held between October 18 - 22, 2007

Index International Furniture Fair is being organised in collaboration with KoelnMesse GmbH from October 18 - 22, 2007 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. Spread across an area of over 35,000 square meters, Index Fair 2007 is expected to have more than 200 participants from around the world, showcasing the best in furniture, lighting and furnishing from Italy, Germany, Brazil, China, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand.

With the imported furniture market in India crossing US$ 53.82 million for 2006-2007 April-July quarter, this event is expected to give new prospects to architects, builders, interior designers, project consultants as well as anyone who is investing in a project or property. The important segment of professionals influencing large purchase decisions and hence trends, such as architects, builders and interior designers, as well as the purchase departments of the top corporates, hotels, other hospitality projects and State and Central Government purchase departments are targeted with special invitations. This fair would bring together the trade and industry segment such as trade buyers, importers & exporters, wholesale distributors, retail chains, manufacturers and other related industry participants.

A seminar will also be conducted with top panelists discussing and debating topics on hospitality as well as the retail industry. Concurrently, there will be another seminar organised by Federlegno-Arredo (The Federation of Italian Furniture and Furnishing Manufacturers) that will include exclusive B2B meetings with Indian business houses. There is also Mostra Design Exhibition, a design exhibition organised by the government of Italy. This event will focus on showcasing the best design concepts.
