KHPL on an expansion overdrive
Plans restaurants abroad, 3-star hotel in Ahmedabad

Kambala Hospitality (KHPL), that has eight restaurants in its portfolio, is
looking to expand its products not only in India but even Dubai and London.
According to Deepak Bassi, its CEO, while in India, it plans to open six restaurants
and a banquet hall in Vashi by August 15, 2007, it wants to take its F&B
brand Village to Dubai and London by 2008.
It also plans to enter the accommodation segment with its first three-star 80-room
hotel in Ahmedabad by next year. Refusing to disclose the money invested, Vinay
Singh, its head (Sales & Marketing), said, "We are launching Coconut
- a South Indian restaurant covering coastal cuisine right from Maharashtra
to Andhra Pradesh, The Monk - an Oriental restaurant and Dunes - a restaurant
with an Arabian theme." It also has plans to focus on the mall segment.
After Raghuleela Mall Kandivli, the Vashi mall at Navi Mumbai is its new target.
The company presently owns Baagabond - the multi-cuisine restaurant and bar,
Rudey's Forest Café, offering world cuisine, Umrao Jaan - specialising
in Avadhi cuisine, Village known for its the pan-Indian cuisine and Punjabi
Pind besides Imperial Banquets.
