Signature Crest plans to open serviced apartment abroad

Sayoni Bhaduri - Mumbai

The Signature Crest, a Mumbai-based fully-owned subsidiary of TravelOrg Holidays, is planning to launch serviced apartments abroad. According to its CEO, Venkatesh K, the group will open serviced apartments in London, Dubai and Colombo. "These three destinations will open by August this year and another two destinations in Malaysia and Australia before December 2007."

The London property will be an independent villa with seven suites, one common kitchen and a living room. With an average room rate of 100 pounds which includes all amenities, the apartment is located in Kingsbury (near Wembley). The other properties in Dubai and Colombo will also follow a similar format. They are presently in development stage.

The Signature Crest already owns properties in 25 locations in India such as Jaipur, Indore, Agra, Delhi, Bangalore, Mysore, Pune, Goa, Gurgaon, Coimbatore, Chennai, Ooty, Panchgani, and Khandala. By December this year it plans to have serviced apartments in another 40 to 45 locations in the country. The group will target corporates who globetrot all over the world.
