Global education and international certification at APIC
The Asia Pacific International Campus (APIC), a division of S B Global Educational
resources, is based in Kochi, the commercial capital of Kerala. It offers a
three-year Bachelors degree in hotel management from the University of Ballarat,
Australia. The course follows the Australian Technical and Further Education
(TAFE) curriculum and syllabus and is accepted by the leading hotels of the
world.
The courses are offered in academic partnership with The Guilford School of
Hospitality, Singapore and their affiliated partner University of Ballarat,
Australia.
At APIC, students get an opportunity to get the best of global education and
international certification in India, thereby saving substantial costs. In the
three-year Bachelors degree programme the students can do the first two years
in Kochi, with an option of a work-study programme in Singapore/ Australia in
the third year.
The students receive a certificate at the end of every year - they receive a
diploma in hospitality management certificate on completing the first year,
an advanced diploma at the end of the second year, and a Bachelors degree in
hospitality management after three years. Students are awarded the certifications
from the University of Ballarat, Australia, irrespective of where the students
complete the course.
They have the option to go on a one-month study tour to Singapore during their
first year. Management theories, practical skills and industry exposure are
combined to nurture the next generation of hospitality professionals.
The course includes the value-additions of a foreign language, communication
skills in English and soft skills. The school equips students to enter the industry
with the right skills, attitude and qualifications to launch a successful hospitality
career.
