New kids on the block

Sarovar Portico, Ahmedabad

Sarovar Hotels announces the opening of its three-star hotel Sarovar Portico in Ahmedabad. The hotel, formerly called Quality Inn Riviera will now be managed by Sarovar Hotels under its brand name Sarovar Portico.

Sarovar Portico, Ahmedabad features 69 contemporary rooms, River View, a multi-cuisine restaurant, a permit shop, indoor banquets accommodating up to 1,000 guests and a lawn that can accommodate up to 3,000 guests and a business centre.


The Banyan Tree, Mumbai

In the quaint bylanes of Worli (opposite Podar Hospital) in a quiet lane under a canopy of trees nestles this new eatery The Banyan Tree, offering a mix of continental fare with an array of sinful diet-busting desserts. The menu encompasses a range of continental cuisine and the bakery offers freshly-baked specialty breads, savories, cakes, pastries and muffins and a range of coffees and smoothies to team up with a quick bite. It also offers a varied collection of books to customers.


Mocha Coffees & Conversations, Mumbai

Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality launched its sixth Mocha outlet in Mumbai this February. Present at the launch were Riyaaz Amlani and Nitin Gupta along with Bollywood and television celebrities.

 

 


Rudeys Forest Café, Mumbai

Kambala Hospitality launches Rudeys Forest Café, the first forest-themed restaurant in the metropolis. Located in Raghuleela Mega Mall, Kandivali, Rudeys is complete with life-sized animals, birds, alligators, apes, snakes and fauna. The topography breaks into footbridges and log cabins with caves lurking in the backdrop.

Lively animal mascots greet guests at the gates and entertain the little tots through the evening. It even has games with a professional game co-ordinator. Other attractions include magic shows, juggling acts, etc and a resident DJ Rudeys Forest Café offers multiple cuisine choices through a one ticket restaurant in self service styled counters.


Punjabi Pind, Mumbai

The aromas and flavours of Punjab can now be savoured in a Punjabi village set up at Raghuleela Mega Mall, Kandivali (West). After launching a chain of successful ventures like Imperial Banquets, Village, the soul of India, Rudeys Forest Café and Baagabong, Lounge & Bar, Kambala Hospitality now launches its fourth theme restaurant, Punjabi Pind.

It is a one-ticket non-vegetarian restaurant which entitles its patrons to unlimited beverages and food delicacies with no restrictions of time unlike a conventional restaurant. It is furnished with wicker furniture in hay huts.


Marriott International's Executive Apartments, Indonesia

Marriott International has opened The Mayflower - Jakarta, Marriott Executive Apartments in Jakarta, Indonesia under a management agreement with PT Insan Asia Nusantara. Its general manager is Greg Allan while Theo Ocks is the director of marketing.

The Mayflower - Jakarta, Marriott Executive Apartments is located in Jakarta's central business district and approximately 20km away from Soekarno-Hatta Jakarta International Airport. It offers 96 elegantly furnished one, two and three-bedroom apartments offering contemporary modern décor and marble flooring. Other amenities include a fully-equipped kitchen with microwave and dishwasher and separate dining area. Each apartment features a home entertainment system with large LCD television in both the living room and master bedroom.
