Aahar International facilitates modernisation, growth

EH Staff - Mumbai

A premier exhibition for food, food processing, and hotel and restaurant equipment and supplies, Aahar International has been recognised as one of the leading events of its kind in Asia. Encouraged by the overwhelming response of the highly successful annual series of Aahar exhibition in New Delhi, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) will be presenting the 22nd edition of the event as Aahar International at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from March 8 to 12, 2007.

The fair is being organised with the support of Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, Agricultural & Processed Food Products Exports Development Authority (APEDA) Associational Resource Companies for the Hospitality Industry (ARCHI), New Delhi, Confederation of India Food Trade & Industry (CIFTI), New Delhi, All India Food Processor's Association, New Delhi and Hotel & Restaurant Equipment Manufacturers Association of India (HOTREMAI).

Aahar International seeks to offer a platform for facilitating growth and modernisation in the processed food and hospitality sectors. Its aim is therefore clearly in consonance with the government's efforts and objectives to promote these vital areas of national economy. Significantly, the fair has, over the years, evolved into an ideal forum for initiation of joint venture agreements and technology transfer processes that assure considerable returns.

Aahar 2006 elicited participation over 330 companies, covering an area over 8,000 sq. mtr with participation from 18 overseas companies - from USA, Japan, France, Singapore, China, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Malaysia, Pakistan and Turkey.
