Taj partners with Kamats for first business hotel in Goa

Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces has entered into a management contract with Kamat Construction and Resorts, an associate company of Kamat group, for its first business hotel in Goa, under development at Panjim. Located about 25 minutes away from the Dabolim International Airport, the proposed hotel with 154 rooms and suites will be unveiled by the end of 2007, providing guests with all modern facilities and services. The hotel will also offer a 24-hour coffee shop, a speciality restaurant and bar, 5,500 sq ft of banqueting and meeting facilities, state-of-the-art fitness centre and a swimming pool.

Jamshed Daboo, chief operating officer, Taj Business Hotels, said, "We are very excited to partner with the Kamat Group for our first Taj business hotel in Goa. The state is taking various initiatives to accelerate the growth of various industries and also promote Goa as a conference destination. We believe that Panjim, the capital city of Goa with key government establishments, presents an excellent opportunity for setting up a new age business hotel."
