FHRAI
to push for service apartment classification
Anticipating the boom in service apartments that are considered
to be a cheaper alternative to over-priced hotel rooms, the
Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Association of India
(FHRAI) will work closely with the ministry of tourism to
formulate a grading and classification system for service
apartments as well as guesthouses.

will be on investments & partnerships
With the onset of winter arrives the biggest annual round-up
of the hospitality industry, the 42nd annual convention of
Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Association of India
(FHRAI), being held in Chandigarh from November 10 to 12,
2006.
'Unity
within the industry must prevail'
Kamal Sharma, former managing director of Hotel Corporation
of India (HCI, a Government of India undertaking) recently
took over the mantle of the FHRAI secretary general. He has
held several senior positions with the government, private
and multinational companies in London, Muscat and India. He
shares his vision for establishing co-ordination between the
hospitality industry and the travel fraternity, in conversation
with Sanjeev Bhar.
