Vijay Gollarahalli has recently
taken over as general manager and director of development of Le Meridien,
Bangalore. Prior to joining, he was the regional director, operations for
the Hersha Group's Sotuh East United States Hotels comprising Hilton Brand
hotels and Holiday Inns for seven years. He has served as the GM for several
award winning hotels. Prior to that, he was the GM of Holiday Inn hotels
in Asia/Pacific. More recently, he served as director of operations for
Imperial Hotels in Africa from 1996 to 1999. He has now been in this industry
for the last 21 years. He is a member of The Cornell Society of Hotelmen.
The Club, Mumbai
Chef Krishna Kumar has been appointed
as Executive Chef at The Club. Prior to his current assignment, he has worked
with Taj Chennai for 16 yrs and then moved to Maldives at a beach resort,
and served as second in command in Mombassa, Kenya for two years. He then
accepted a challenging offer from the Pavilion group and set up a chain
of Indian restaurants in Dubai.
