Infinitea to increase tea bar outlets
Sanjeev Bhar - New Delhi
After
the coffee outlets boom, now its time for tea bars. Infinitea, part of Liquid
Gold Company, which started the first tea bar in the country, is gearing up
to increase the number of tea bars in India. Infinitea has outlets in Bangalore
and Kolkata and are soon to launch three more outlets in the same cities, of
which two will be in Kolkata, slated in early 2007 and one in Bangalore to by
end of 2006.
Gaurav Saria, director, Infinitea and Liquid Gold, says, "The
potential for tea bars is huge but has not been harnessed. People are slowly
realising the importance of tea and it is the youngsters that draw the business
today. Hence, they need to be inculcated with this beverage that offers numerous
flavours to go with." Saria adds that Infinitea tea bars are also going
to open in Delhi and Mumbai, although the timing is not yet decided. The company
would be further looking at expanding in tier-II cities as well in the near
future.
