Rendering clean & hygiene solutions

An effective cleaning and hygiene programme enhances the image of a property. Vishal Sharma, MD, JohnsonDiversey India explains how his company is helping hotels maintain cleanliness

Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in hotel premises and adding real value to the services provided by these concerns have been the focus of JohnsonDiversey, which has an international track record of supplying cleaning products for professional users.

Nothing says more about the overall standards of a hotel than the quality and cleanliness of the public areas. The company's Guest Amenities programme is designed to improve the guest's level of comfort and confidence. "Our exclusive soap dispensing systems use world famous consumer brands because it is easy to use, and reduces waste," says Sharma.

The game plan

The company provides highly efficient, accurate dosing and dilution equipment and a wide range of utensils to make the cleaning tasks easier and more effective. "We help to design cleaning plans and production aids for excellent results and, as part of our installation programme, provide on-site demonstrations and staff training," claims Sharma.

To ensure high levels of hygiene, the company provides tailor-made cleaning and disinfection procedures incorporated into consumers' hygiene plans. The freshness in the air is often the first thing that a customer notices when entering a room or a public area. A clean smelling environment reassures the customer that the premises are also clean and wholesome.

Air fresheners work short term but merely mask odours or in some cases affect people's perception of smells; they do not eliminate the odour source. Ozone generators require rooms or areas to be isolated for several hours and their use is subject to occupational exposure limits.

"Unpleasant odours can give an immediate negative impression and, similarly, an overpowering fragrance can be equally unpleasant. Our odour control product line eliminates the cause of the malodour quickly. We follow a holistic approach that emphasises prevention as well as cure," explains Sharma.

The company also has long been helping building service contractors simplify their work and improve efficiency, cleaning all types of commercial, industrial and retail facilities floor to ceiling, from the front door to the loading dock.

Informs Sharma, "Our total package of cleaning chemicals, dilution systems, floor care equipment and support services ensure that the cleaning contractor will deliver a high-quality result at a low cost. Our field experts work in the contract environment with management and janitorial staff to enhance contract profitability and building manager satisfaction. We focus on helping them reduce staff turnover and minimise risks."
