The Vehicle Mounted Unit contains the GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver and GSM (Cellular) Interface with GPRS, to measure, record and transmit parameters like Date, Time, Speed and Location to the Command Center using the local GSM/GPRS network. The system automatically switches over to SMS wherever GPRS coverage is not available. Alarm buttons activated on the vehicle by the driver or the passengers alert the Command Center to possible emergencies and a voice option even permits verbal communication with the driver.
