Best environmental achievement award

The Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association of India (FHRAI) has awarded S Parsadurai as "The Young Hotel Engineer" for the year 2004-2005 for his extraordinary performance in managing energy resourcefully. Parsadurai works for the Taj Gateway Hotel on Residency Road, Bangalore as the chief engineer and Environment Management Representative (EMR). He has also contributed tremendously in Environment Management Systems thereby, winning the "Best Environmental Achievement" award among the Taj Group of Hotels for the year 2004-2005.

Avenues and Pegasus ink agreement

Pegasus Solutions, provider of technology and services to hotels and travel distributors, and Avenues, South Asia's integrated e-commerce company, have signed an agreement to use Pegasus' Unirez by Pegasus service. Avenues' hotel customers in South Asia, especially those in the Indian sub-continent, can now list their hotel property in the four major global distribution systems (GDSs) - Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan - through the well-known UZ code that connects to 450,000 travel agents worldwide, and on thousands of consumer-focussed travel Websites around the world including major travel portals.
