Yum! Moves Into Mega Expansion Mode
Nine years after setting up shop in India, Yum! Restaurants International (YRI), plans to add 25 Pizza Hut outlets and seven Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurants by the end of this year.

70-year Old Nirula's Up For Sale
Nirula's, started by brothers LC Nirula and M Nirula as a 12-room hotel in Delhi in 1934 now has 64 outlets, of which 59 are in the NCR. Despite vehement denial of any plans to sell the company, the fast food chain, Nirula's is now up for grabs. The company worth approximately Rs 100 crore that earlier withstood competition from foreign chains, is now putting itself up for sale.

State Takes Red Bull By The Horns
Opening a fizzy can of controversy, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has prohibited the sale of popular Austrian energy drink Red Bull on a non-governmental organisation's complaint that a key ingredient in the product - labelled vegetarian - contains animal extracts.
