Zesty Zenzi

Zesty, energetic, narcotic and intoxicating is how one of the guests described the place on the message board put up during its first anniversary brunch. There was food and drink and music galore. The hosts served up a host of colourful cocktails, beer, shots in addition to a few sizzling options at the wok station. Present at the event were model Shyla Lopez, singer Anaida, theatre personality Dolly Thakore, musician Bobby Duggal, DJ Chris Correya. The brunch that continued well into the evening saw Suchitra Pillai and husband Lars, Adam Bedi and girlfriend Nisha Harale enter later.

 


Mysty Nights

Myst, the bar and eatery located next to Fame Adlabs, Andheri was the venue for two events on two consecutive nights. First was the Belvedere Mystical Night in association with Inega Model Management. This was a mid week event with the very first such night attracting the likes of models Aanchal Kumar, Sampada Inamdar, Shonal Rawat, Shawar Ali, Tarun Arora, Inder Mohan Sudan, fashion designers Falguni and Shane Peacock, Salim Asgarally, actors Puru Raj Kumar and Ayesha Takia. The next night it was time for the 'Dus' party hosted by Irfan Mirza, Rahul Setia and Gaurav Mehra. Film director Anubhav Sinha, producer Nitin Manmohan, music director Shekhar, Gulshan Grover, Raima Sen, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sunil and Mana Shetty, Salil Chaturvedi, Shruti Seth, models Sayali Bhagat and Chesz Shetty were there enjoying the experience.


New Arrivals

Indigo Deli and Mahjong, the former, a natural extension to Rahul and Malini Akerkar's seven-year-old Indigo, is a New York style delicatessen with a warm and woody interior is simple yet stylish. It stocks freshly baked breads, pastas, salads, sandwiches, cheeses, cold cuts, deli meats, cakes and desserts. The 2,500 sq ft, two-level place has a food retail area with large food display counters and a comfortable café where you can sit back and savour a drink and a bite. At Indigo Deli you also have books, wine accessories, fondue pots, cooking pans and kitchen linen. Indigo Deli, located in the old Bayside Café in Colaba, is open for breakfast, lunch to high tea, pre-dinner and dinner. It is even open for late-night snackers, till one am. Mahjong at Hotel Ramee Guestline in Khar is a Chinese restaurant inspired by the ancient Chinese game of the same name. Says Sudanshu Kumar Singh, group GM, Ramee Guestline Hotels Mumbai: "We aim to make the dining experience go beyond just a meal. Just like the ancient Chinese game, at Mahjong the diner is invited to play with the space, and win a full hand through our authentic menu. The interiors with their Zen like feel and a chef from China go the extra mile to give the diner a true Chinese experience."


Fashion Song

If it is a Thursday it must be Olive bar and kitchen. The place was abuzz on the night of the divas while witnessing a rather unusual fashion show. The regular models were not on the ramp but in the audience. Showing off the colourful corsets by Lascelles Symons were singers Suchitra Pillai, Anoushka and Sharon Prabhakar. Also spotted were Gautam Singhania, Bobby Deol, Celina Jaitley and Lara Dutta, and the model brigade Carol Gracias, Reshma Bombaywala, Binal Trivedi, Fleur Xavier and Bhairavi Goswami.
