Sunstone Hotel Investors, Walton Street Capital LLC and Marriott International signed purchase and sale agreements that will result in their separately acquiring 32 hotels and certain joint venture interests from CTF Holdings Ltd.

More than 100 new hotels will open in Dubai in the next two to three years. The city has already hosted numerous hotel openings in recent years as Dubai has rocketed to become the fasted growing destination on earth.

Hilton Sydney Scheduled To Open For Business In July
Sydney's newest upscale hotel, the Hilton Sydney is set to open its doors for business in July 2005. As construction nears completion, Hilton will gain possession of the hotel from Leighton Contractors on a progressive basis, culminating in the 15 July opening.

Taylor Looking To Turn Up In Three Scottish Cities
The Scottish press reports that experienced hotelier Maurice Taylor wants to spend more than £20 million to give three cities in Scotland a hotel each. Work is already underway on an Express by Holiday Inn in Dunfermline, and Taylor is said to be keen on bringing the same brand to Edinburgh.

BB Aims To Be King In Oporto
Real estate operator BB Sociedade Imobiliária is set to open the Hotel das Artes this June. But the citizens of the Portuguese city of Oporto must not fret thinking that is the last they will see of their compatriot, for the company is set to return at least three times over the next few years.
