Three-day National Seminar Highlights Emerging, Future Trends In Indian Hospitality Education

The Department of Hospitality & Tourism Management of Acharya Institute of Management Sciences, Bangalore recently organised a three-day national seminar on the emerging and future trends in hospitality education in India. The seminar, which was sponsored by AICTE, created a common interactive platform for hospitality professionals, educationalists and students alike.

The event saw industry experts speak on various industry relevant topics and provide insights to a student's perspective.

The topics covered included:

  • The importance of technology based education and future trends
  • The impact of globalisation in the hospitality industry
  • Effective teaching methods, redefining the concept of quality education in hospitality service, new trends in the hospitality industry, industry - institute interactions for developing suitable curriculum, bench-marking Indian hospitality education with western countries and methods for better interface with industry.
