HRA(WI) Appoints New Office Bearers

The Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) HRA(WI), recently appointed a new set of office bearers at their 54th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the West End Hotel in Mumbai. The association members unanimously elected Sunder N Awatramani, managing director of West End Hotel as the new president of HRA(WI).

Awatramani has been the managing director of the West End Hotel for more than 25 years and has been a member of the committee since 1983-84. He has been closely associated with Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) and has held various posts. Awatramani takes over from Vivek Nair, managing director of Hotel Leelaventure Ltd. Dr Ajit B Kerkar continues to guide the affairs of the association as the president of honour. Other office bearers include:

• Dinesh Khanna - senior vice-president
• R S Bedi - vice-president
• Vasant Shetty - honorary secretary
• Kamlesh Barot - joint honorary secretary
• S P Jain - honorary treasurer
