Eagle Soars With Sanjeev

EH&C Staff, Mumbai

Sanjeev Kapoor was at ease doing what he does best, holding a live cooking demonstration, at the Taj Lands End, Bandra. This time around Chef Kapoor introduced a tandoor he has lent his name to. Known as the Sanjeev Kapoor Tandoor, the tandoor has been introduced in India by Eagle Home in association with Salton, the American brand.

The chef took to the stage for a live demonstration of cooking various delights in the tandoor. From chicken satay and aloo tikis to hamburgers and the likes the chef displayed the tandoors user friendly capabilities.

The tandoor is a unique product that effectively removes all the excess oils and fats from the food, which allows for healthier eating. The high grill grooves and slight slope allows fat to run off the grill as the food cooks. One can cook a wide range of delicacies in minutes from paneer pasanda and chicken tikka to prawn koliwada.

With healthy food becoming the latest fad of the middle class, the tandoor helps in reducing calorie content without compromising on the taste. The tandoor has an added accessory called the roti warmer. Kapoor said, "Before lending my name to this product, I had asked Eagle Home for the tandoor to test and to see what all was possible. It has been six months since the product has been at home and it is so easy to use that even my daughters use it now."
