FHRAI Adds Fuel To United Tourism Front With TAAI, IATO
In line with its resolve to work together with trade partners in addressing common problems facing the tourism industry, the Federation of Hotels and Restaurants Association of India (FHRAI) has written letters to chief ministers of 15 states including Kerala, Delhi, Punjab, West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattishgarh Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra to reduce sales tax on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF).

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has revised its outlook on Choice Hotels International Inc to positive from stable.
At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its ratings, including its 'BBB-' corporate credit rating, on the company. As of December 31, 2003, the hotel franchisor had about US$ 247 million of debt outstanding.

Howard Johnson To Add 17 Properties In China
Howard Johnson is expecting to increase its portfolio to 17 properties in China through 2004 with the openings in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Conghua (Guangdong), Hangzhou, Tianjin and Wuhan.
