The Big Chill

If it’s Formula I it must be Foster’s. And so it was, once again, this time at Taj President, with the screening of the Formula I Grand Prix at Indianopolis.

The Australian beer teamed up with Indian model Anu Ahuja to host the beer-and-bites event. Seen were Sheetal Mallar, Gautam Kapoor and Ashok Salian. Needless to say, much beer was downed, the chill was on and the heat was also on if you looked at the cars zooming across the lanes on the big screen. Another winner from Foster’s.

Inside And Outside

It has been launch time in the city. From innerwear to watches the city has seen it all. At the Regal Room of the Oberoi Towers it was the lingerie look as Triumph International, the largest lingerie company in the world, unveiled its collection of women’s innerwear.

Though the country’s top models were not on the ramp, still guests were excited at seeing the young fresh models showing off their bare necessities.

Showcased were six collections: Maximiser, Fashion Style, Be Happy, Form & Beauty, Sloggi, T-shirt bra. It was said to be a range for the sensuous Indian woman. The range is available at stores like Shoppers’ Stop, Piramyd, Pantaloon, Ebony and Vama and also at retail outlets all over the city and in Chennai. Plans are there to launch the brand in other major cities in India.

Triumph International, headquartered in Switzerland, has a presence in 150 countries. Now, India can sport the Triumph range.

At Athena it was time for a Cartier watch launch. Ticking away was the new model called the Divan, a classic with a rectangular dial, wide strap, Roman numerals, with a gold or silver face, automatic or quartz. It is said that Divan from Cartier is a watch for rendezvous, for firing the imagination, for intimate and cherished moments.

Public Attraction

And yet another pub has opened in town. This one’s at the popular Tian complex on Gulmohur Road, Juhu. It’s called TIG’s for Tian International Grill.

Grills and thrills awaited guests at the pub that has a very traditional look with woodwork and rusticity aplenty. Seems a nice cosy place to unwind on your way home from work or even later on your way for a night out on the town.

Opening night saw the likes of filmstar Mahima Choudhary, singer Raageshwari, film personality Sanjay Gupta, music group A Band of Boys, models Priyadarshini Pradhan and Dipannita Sharma. Yet another exciting venue in the Tian complex. Should do well, we think.
