Grand Ashoka Turns To Banquets, F&B To Boost Sales

EH&C Staff - Bangalore

The Grand Ashoka, Bangalore, is now banking on the F&B and banqueting sales to prop up the revenue generation.

The property, which witnessed a downfall in revenue by 20 per cent in the last four months due to fluid market conditions, has now ventured on a major re-engineering and repositioning exercise of its premier restaurants and F&B outlets. Says, Aditya Mata, resident manager, The Grand Ashoka, “Certain departmental revenues have fallen owing to the renovation work. But there are certain areas like F&B, banqueting, where we have evinced consistent growth rate. Our core competency is the banqueting and restaurants, which are showing positive indicators despite the downturn in the market in the last several months. Menus and presentation of our restaurants are being restructured and getting showcased so as to have a fabulous product with world class features. We will be going all out in marketing our banqueting facilities, which is the largest in the city.”

Furthermore, in an attempt to have a competitive edge in the market and at the same time augment its target clientele, the property has taken up food and beverage promotions in a big way. This apart, it is looking at associating with corporate majors at all its F&B events on a regular basis. “The hotel has an extremely loyal clientele, which is being enhanced with a strong and proactive marketing network nationally. The final product will be an excellent one with world class features and amenities and the finest dining and convention options,” Aditya opined.
